Just purchased a John Deere D130 and they delivered it today. The lawn tractor seems to be very old and has red paint spray all over the seat and surrounding area. The delivery guy had me sign for delivery before unloading or inspecting the tractor. I thought the seat was just covered in dust, but as I went to clean the seat, it would not come off.
I'm going to call them and see if they will do anything about this, but so far I am not impressed.

I received a call from the manager of the facility today and she offered to come pick up the lawn mower and repair/clean it free of charge. I have already cleaned it up myself, and didn't need anything else done to it. So, she offered to deliver my first oil change supplies to my home free of charge. While I still feel like there are come quality control measures that are not in place, I do appreciate the call back and the gesture and offer for repairs.
I received the oil and filter that they promised and they threw in two John Deere caps to boot. I have to says this really makes me happy. :)
I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I am SO disappointed with my experience with them. First of all I dropped the lawn mower off on a Monday, they said 3-5 days. I called the following Monday and they reported that they were just starting to look at it. I called again on Thursday and was told that they tried to call me on Tuesday (I have them in my called ID and I did not have a missed call). They said my deck has to be replaced. I told them I was not interested in the repair and I would come pick it up. An hour later I was there ready to get it to find out the deck was still removed... After waiting 45 min for them to put it on I was fuming, I had just told them that I was on my way out! Then I get home to find that they didn't put the belt back on!! I was so mad. I called them and was argued with over and over about how they deemed it unfit so they had to leave it inoperable , I did not authorize them to return it to me in a different condition then they received it in and that is exactly what happened. I asked where that was in the paperwork, its not there. I asked why that was not told to me when I was there picking it up and again was not told anything. I wasted 2 weeks with this company and I am worse off then when I started. HUGE MISTAKE, I have learned m lesson on where to take it in the future! They are too busy to really care about people and their time.
The lawn mower itself seems to be running well. I went to Lowe's and looked at their D130's and it is the same model year on the lot (2016), so that issue is probably more on John Deere than the dealer. I find it odd that 1/3 of the way through 2017, Deere is still selling the 2016 models. Maybe they made too many??
