Rude employees and service techs who fail to do anything right the first time or even show up when they're supposed to and don't even have the professional courtesy to call and let you know that they're not coming after waiting 6 hours. And if you have AHS and make any plumbing claims this is who they'll send as they are the only plumbing contractor in the area that they use. Yeah you heard me. Out of the 100 or so plumbers in the Charleston and surrounding areas this is the only plumber that decided to sign up and work with AHS. That says a lot about AHS and their reputation that they can't even get reputable/professional contractor's to work with them so you get stuck with the bottom of the barrel plumbers like these guys so you're S.O.L. Yeah you might be thinking jeez they cannot be that bad and that all these bad reviews about A-American Plumbing cannot be true but I can assure you they are very real. You've been warned.
Don't use them, hack jobs installed an overflow gromet in my tub, first time they came out it still leaked when they left. 5 days ago I discovered the second time they couldn't install the gromet properly so the plumber filled the overflow with caulk resulting in the drain plug lever not working. Owner still hasn't called me back and I've left several messages with the secretary.
FYI: They are the only plumbing company that AHS works with however tell AHS you want to find your own plumber and they'll let you and reimburse you if your damage/problem is covered. Again AHS can't send anyone else out there because they don't have anyone else that'll work with them which is hilarious and sad. A week after making my claim still no one from A-American Plumbing made it out to my house to correctly diagnose the problem with my water heater. I called Limric Plumbing yesterday, they came out today, and are fixing the problem tomorrow. Now that's how business should be done.
After telling AHS that the plumbing repairs were not covered under warranty, and not even looking under the house, this company took the service charge which is required under the warranty and never sent me an estimate for repairs despite telling me for two days that I was going to get one. Terrible customer service. Repair tech was Mr. Know it all.
