This particular store is great because it's super close to my house, but I almost always bypass it simply because of the prices. Most everything one would use on a daily basis is higher priced than any other competitor. Stupid example, but a can of Vienna sausages is 75 cents here while everywhere else they are under 60. Whipping cream is 1.69 for 8 ounces and a competitor just up the street always has 16 ounces for 1.74. Be careful if you're looking for good prices!
You can't find better quality meats as well as variety. I knocked off two stars because the upkeep of the store needed improving. I like to know and be reassured that my good is being prepared in a clean environment. The part of the store that is plainly see reflects the part that isnt.
It's convenient when you need them management is okay, one particular cashier is very rude and nasty, to me anyway. She made some rude and nasty jokes about people of color and that did not sit well with me. Came in the store another time avoiding her register and she left customers that she was checking out to deal with the rain check that was good that I was giving to another cashier. Made a complaint to management, but for some reason she's still there. She needs to be fired!!!!
Haven't seen one of these in years until I moved to South Carolina. Brings back memories, and has the small town feel I love. Staff is friendly. Prices, are a little higher, but is understandable due to the higher overhead and competition.
The location is convenient for me. Also the store attendees are friendly, helpful, and the store is very clean. The Pig is cool. Bi-Lo's not so much...
